1. RESERVOIR USER SUPPORT ENGINEER
What will you be doing:
- Provide technical support, consultation. and training to ExxonMobil engineers using engineering software applications, particularly Integrated Production Modeling software suite (M BAL, PROSPER, GAP).
- Work within multidisciplinary project teams to provide technical support and computing solutions.
What you should have:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 – 5 years of experience with reservoir engineering and reservoir modeling applications.
- Experience with providing technical support for reservoir engineering software applications, such as Petroleum Experts IPM, Schlumberger’s Eclipse, OFM, and PEEP, etc.
What are we looking for:
- Proficiency with Petroleum Experts’ IPM suite and knowledge of other reservoir engineering applications.
- Knowledge of technical computing data, architecture, license management and data analytics systems utilizing high frequency subsurface and production data.
2. SAFETY FACILITIES ENGINEER
What will you be doing:
- Provide daily technical support and guidance to a team performing Safety Facilities Studies for ExxonMobiI refineries and chemical plants around the globe.
- Work within multidisciplinary project teams to provide technical computing solutions.
- Responsible for technical guidance of team members and delivering efficient and accurate studies and solutions in the area of Process Safety.
What you should have:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in the oil, gas or petrochemicals industry.
- Experience with process simulation tools like PROII, and Hysys. as well as flare modeling tools.
- Experience in leading technical teams.
What are we looking for:
- Solid understanding of Process Safety fundamentals including HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, Overpressure Protection and Contingency Analysis.
3. LOG DATA SERVICES ANALYST
What will you be doing:
Implement data management standards and practices for the Upstream Business and Upstream Technical Computing.
- End to end log data services activities, including:
* Loading and monitoring of well log data into the ExxonMobil corporate repository
* Digitization of well log data in our systems.
* Consultation with Geologists, Geotechnicians, and User Support Geoscientists
What you should have:
- BS/BA degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, IT or related discipline.
- 1 – 3 years of experience with Upstream Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering or related Technical Computing.
What are we looking for:
- In-depth knowledge of log analysis.
- Strong technical skills in UNIX / Linux and Log database software.
4. CONTROL APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
What will you be doing:
- Develop and deploy process and unit/equipment models using operations data and subject matter expert input.
- Maintain work plans for multi-site automation projects and steward progress.
- Provide technical support to operating sites for deployed automation solutions.
- Monitor application and equipment performance.
- Contribute to the development, packaging, and sustainment of in-house tools & applications including documentation and training materials.
- Develop or update detailed software tool/application installation or migration guidelines to promote standardization.
What you should have:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant.
- Basic understanding of unit operations and how to complete material and heat balances.
- Experience with applications project implementation, support and upgrades.
What are we looking for:
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and domain concepts.
- Experience and knowledge of automation or process control systems.
- Experience with programming e.g., Visual Basic, SQL, XML, VBS, C/C++, database configuration or applications development.
5. SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
What will you be doing:
- Deliver applications including computational, scientific and engineering technology.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, validate, test, and deploy complex commercial-quality scientific and engineering software.
- Work effectively with contractors and vendors.
What you should have:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline such as Applied Math, Physics, or Computational Sciences.
- Experience with C, C++, and C#
- Experience with object-oriented analysis, data modeling, design patterns, configuration management, and software architecture.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: visualization, computational and applied mathematics, high performance computing application, software quality assurance, mathematical modeling of physical processes, human-computer interaction, requirements management or project management.
What are we looking for:
- Ability to invent. adapt, develop and deliver distinguishing technology.
- Advanced proficiency with C++ or other object-oriented programming language.
- Strong applied math or science background or skills.
6. MECHANICAL ENGINEER
What will you be doing:
Provide daily technical support as part of a team working on various engineering projects, which include petroleum refinery fixed equipment, pressure vessel design and analysis, piping flexibility analysis, heat exchanger technical support, fitness for service assessments, and operational problem solving
What you should have:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering,
- 2 – 5 years of experience doing technical work in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
- Experience in pressure vessel design and analysis including exposure to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Experience in piping design and analysis including exposure to ASME B313 and piping flexibility analysis.
- Experience in leading teams for both technical or business activities.
What are we looking for:
- Experience with fitness for service including API 579
- Experience with heat exchanger design and analysis.
7. UTC GEOSCIENTIST
What will you be doing:
- Develop technical application workflows associated with Geoscience skill areas.
- Advise and promote the effective usage of Geoscience technology.
- Develop and deliver formal and informal technical training for the Geoscience community.
- Participate in the identification, implementation and evaluation of new/upgraded Geoscience technology.
What you should have:
- MS degree or equivalent in Geoscience.
- 3 – 5 years of interpretation experience.
- Experience with Petrel.
What are we looking for:
- In-depth understanding of Geoscience generalist applications, workflows, data and technology.
- Solid understanding of the Petroleum Industry and the Upstream Technical Computing System.
8. REAL TIME OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER
What will you be doing:
- Develop and deploy Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications using operations data and subject matter expert input.
- Maintain work plans for multi-site projects and steward progress
- Provide technical support to operating sites for deployed RTO applications.
- Monitor application and equipment performance.
- Contribute to the development, packaging, and sustainment of in-house tools & applications including documentation and training materials.
- Develop or update detailed software tool/application installation or migration guidelines to promote standardization.
What you should have:
- PhD degree in Chemical Engineering (Computational Thesis) or any relevant industry/control experience.
- 10 + years of work experience in petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant.
- Working knowledge of unit operations and how to complete material & heat balances.
- Experience with RTO project implementation, support and upgrades.
- Good understanding of computer programming. familiarity with use of macros and ability to read and understand the programming code.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read a process flow diagram/PID.
- Experience in leading technical teams.
What are we looking for:
- Experience with Invensys ROMeo and other kinds of modeling tools and packages (PIMS, PROII, DYNSIM, DMC)
