Job Description

Responsibilities:
Perform functions to ensure that the Company complies with all lawsand regulations relating to Health, Safety and Environment
Set up a safety management system to meet statutory requirements
Develop a safety manual, safe work procedures and safe work instructions and ensure their implementation

Conduct environmental audits (under the direction and supervision of Management) prior to the construction or significant modification of any facilities
Prepare an HSE plan to support tenders

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering disciplines, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
1-2 years of experience in a machine shop or heavy engineering environment
Exposure to the manufacturing segment of oil drilling and production equipment would be advantageous
Conversant with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
Good command of spoken and written English
Knowledge of safety laws and related government regulations
Must hold valid registered safety and health officer certification
