Shop Floor Technician
Negeri Sembilan - Senawang
Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and leadership for assurance of quality, ISO, durability, reliability and cost of engine components and sub-assemblies for one or more Solar products within the Overhaul organization
• Responsible to disassemble & assemble gas turbines in accordance to the procedure and quality requirements
• Work closely with overhaul team and provide general support for shop floor operations including performing inspection on detailed part and sub-assembly manufacturing, part reconditioning and / or remanufacturing using standard techniques and procedures
• Interact with Shop Floor Supervisor to support operations for any required task as required by the supervisor
• Responsible for producing Engine Condition Reports upon disassembly of gas turbines
• To support the overhaul team in physical activities in the operation areas

Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma or equivalent in a related technical discipline
• Detailed knowledge of Solar's various engine and accessory products
• Experienced in Lean 6 Sigma - Yellow Belt or Green Belt participation on a 6 Sigma project is desirable
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, resolve complex problems and make sound technical decisions
• Possess hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SFIS, Baan, Word etc.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with Baan and 1-3 years experience with SFIS/ OHIS is preferable
• Able to demonstrate high initiative in quality improvement as well possess excellent communication and writing skills
• Willing to work long hours and during weekends as needed to meet production and team goals
• Independent with demonstrated ability to take initiative to improve quality through identification of root cause and implementation of corrective action
